At the entrance to the town, the mausoleum of Bahauddin Naqshband leads off Bukhara's monuments from the Middle Ages. Until today, legions of pilgrims flock to the tomb of the Islamic scholar every day. In the 14th century he had founded an important Sufi order. The real tomb of Naqshband is protected by a horse tail which is considered an auspicious talisman.

Am Ortseingang eröffnet das Nashbandi-Mausoleum den Reigen von Bucharas Baudenkmälern aus dem Mittelalter. Bis heute strömen täglich Heerscharen von Pilgern an das Grab des islamischen Gelehrten. Er hatte im 14. Jahrhundert einen bedeutenden sufistischen Orden gegründet. Das eigentliche Grabmal von Nashbandi wird von einem Pferdeschwanz geschützt. Er gilt als glückverheißender Talisman.
