The white chalk cliffs of Stevns Klint rise into the sky 41 m high. The church of Höjerup had to pay its tribute to the brittle landscape when in 1928 the choir fell into the sea in a storm and the rest clings to the steep precipice since then. Actually, the catastrophe could not have happened, because according to legend, every Christmas Eve the church jumps away a little bit from the sea into the country.
