The Liebfrauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) [{GoogleMap location='Liebfrauenkirche, Liebfrauenstraße, Trier, Deutschland' zoom='15'}] in Trier is one of the most important early Gothic cathedrals in Germany. It was built over a Roman double church and completed in 1260.

Its shape is in the form of a Greek cross and its floor plan resembles a 12-petaled rose, symbol of the Virgin Mary.
