At the entrance of the village, Goddess Europe welcomes the visitors. She sits on the back of the bull that Zeus was transformed into, to kidnap the beautiful princess to Crete unnoticed by his jealous wife Hera. In fact, Europe was a mother goddess who has long been worshiped in Crete as the moon goddess.
