Graciously, Dionysus is riding on a cheetah.

The god of wine can be recognized by his fennel staff, tipped with a pine-cone and called thyrsus. This dry staff is a phallic fertility symbol but it is also strong enough to allow drunken people to lean on it, but is still soft enough that there is no danger of hurting someone seriously.
