An art history highlight is the chapel, consecrated in 1131, with its hunting scene on the outer wall, interpreted as the descent into hell of the heretic Dietrich von Bern. Inside, a Romanesque fresco cycle tells about the life of Christ. Particularly interesting: a Madonna with a rather large baby Jesus in her lap, including the virgins looking like models dressed in fashion of the latest cut. A real rarity is the 'Tyrolean Knödelesserin', a female dumpling eater - by the way, the oldest reference to this Tyrolean national dish!.
