In Siponto bildet eine einsame Kirche den letzten Überrest der bei einem Erdbeben 1223 zerstörten Stadt. Das kubische Gotteshaus steht neben einer frühchristlichen Basilika, deren Umrisse durch ein hauchdünnes Drahtgeflecht rekonstruiert wurden.

In Siponto, a remote church is the last remnant of the city destroyed in an earthquake in 1223. The cubic church stands next to an early Christian basilica, whose outlines are simulated by a very thin wire mesh.
