He first presented his solution in 1959 as ''Musikalische Graphik'' (musical drawings). Acoustic innovation is to be found in the ''Miroirs'' (Mirrors)(1984-1991), where music becomes a kind of space-sound sculpture, thus distancing itself from the listener and defying unified perception. The sound of the piano that repeats itself over and over again (Example) cannot therefore be clearly identified. The work changes everytime the listener moves. (M.
