Fabriksschulen#

Fabriksschulen (factory schools), begun in the 19th century by industrial factories and small businesses for the children employed there (reading, writing and arithmetic lessons were held on the premises during breaks and after working hours), regulated by the Reichsvolksschulgesetz of 1869, discontinued in 1885 after child labour under the age of 14 was prohibited.
