Bovec Bovec is a town in the Littoral region in northwestern Slovenia, in Gorizia. It is situated close to the border with Italy. The Italian name of the town is Plezzo.

Trenta#

Trenta Trenta is a settlement in the Municipality of Bovec. It lies in the traditional Gorizia region in western Slovenia. The settlement is situated on the Soča River along the road from the Vršič Pass to Bovec and surrounds the Trenta Valley and the side valleys.

Kobarid#

Kobarid Kobarid is a settlement in western Slovenia, 21 km south of Bovec and 9 km east of the Italian border. The town is known for the Battle of Caporetto 1917. The Italian retreat was documented in the novel A Farewell to Arms of Ernest Hemingway. The battle is well documented in the museum of Kobarid in the centre of the town. In 1993 the museum won a Council of Europe award.

Ptuj Ptuj is the oldest Slovenian city. It is located in northeastern Slovenia. The area traditionally was a part of the Styria region.

Ptujska Gora Ptujska Gora is a village in the Municipality of Majšperk in northeastern Slovenia. It is best known for its parish church.

Šmarje pri Jelšah#

Šmarje pri Jelšah Šmarje pri Jelšah is a town in eastern Slovenia. The area was a part of the traditional region of Styria. The best-known landmark near the town is the Saint Roch´s Church which is in the settlement of Predenca (in the South of the town) and the series of chapels representing Calvary and the Stations of the Cross leading up to the church from the town on the path.
