Notable features of his figures include elongated heads with broad foreheads, long straight noses, protracted eyelids that often reach to the temples, and rosy cheeks and eyelids. Hands and facial features are accentuated through the deployment of white lines or rows of dots and circles. The modelling of clothing, hair, and animal furs shows sparing application of colour with limited gradations and black and/or white lines for contours and internal structuring.
