The European Commission and the European Environment Agency are hosting the Climate-ADAPT portal  to make better use of knowledge on adapta- tion in Europe. The portal provides information on, for example, adaptation policies and strategies, case studies and a database on adaptation resources, to enhance effective uptake by decision-makers and contribute to better coordination among sectors and governance levels. This volume adds significantly to the knowledge base to show the interlinkages of biodiversity and health in a changing climate. The synthesis of knowledge across different disciplines is highly welcomed and will inform practical and actionable management options to climate adaptation to foster, ultimately and in a mutually dependent manner, human health and well-being and ecosystem resilience.
