3.ClassifierCombination
Classifiercombinationtries to improveonthe taskofpatternrecognitionperformance through
mathematicalmodels. Theoutputsofclassifierscanberepresentedasvectorsofnumberswhere the
dimensionofvectors isequal to thenumberofclasses.Asaresult, thecombinationproblemcanbe
definedasaproblemoffindingthecombinationfunctionacceptingN-dimensional scorevectors from
Mclassifiers andoutputtingNfinal classification scores (seeFigure6),where the function tries to
minimize themisclassificationcost.
