Overall, a distance of 445.4km was recorded, with a mean velocity of 53.1km/h. Figure 4.6(b) shows the histogram of the longitudinal vehicle speed for all the measurements. It can be seen that there is a peak at the speed range of 0 to 10km/h and at 40 to 50km/h. As already mentioned in table 4.3, the mean velocity is 53.1m/s. Figure4.6(a) showsthat theaccelerationdensity ishigher forpure longitudinalor lateral accelerations. This result is comparable to the results of Wegscheider, [Weg09]. The 53
