6. EmpiricalAnalysis
Tianjin isoneof themost famousmoderncities inChina,whichhasbeendevotedtodeveloping
theelectric-vehicle industry. Inorder topromote thesustainabledevelopmentandmanagementof the
EVindustry inTianjincity, it isnecessary toselect theoptimalsites forEVCSs.After reviewingthe
project feasibility researchreports, theexpertgroupsfinallydeterminefiveEVCSsitealternatives. The
geographical locationsof thesefivealternativesareshowninFigure3. FivealternativesAi(1,2, . . . 5)
are located in theBeichendistrict,Donglidistrict,Nankaidistrict, JinnandistrictandTanggudistrict
inTianjin, respectively.
TheMCDMproblemrelatedtooptimalsitingofEVCSincludes fourcriteria (economy,society,
environmentandtechnology)andthirteensub-criteria.After reviewingthe literaturesandresearch
reports related to all alternatives, each experts group give the linguistic ratings judgments for
sub-criteriaweights and sub-criteria performance of all alternatives. The rating results are listed
inTables4and5.
