Metals 2017,7, 91 3.ResultsandDiscussion In this study, partswere built using two additivemanufacturing processes. To characterize the influenceof theprocesses, of theorientationandofaheat treatmentof thepartonmechanical properties, thegeometricaldimensionsaswellas theorientation in thebuildingprocesswasvaried. Theobtainedresultsarepresentedanddiscussed in the followingchapter. 3.1. Cross-SectionAccuracyofFabricatedStruts Table 4 lists the results of themanufactured andmeasured SLM- andEBM-processed parts. In the45-degreeorientation, thedeviation is 9%to14%. SLMcomponent deviations in thezero-degreeorientationarebetween4%and5%while thedeviations in the45-degree orientationarebetween0%and3%.
