171 effects, or ecosystem disservices, are an understudied subject.6 Despite it not being a popular line of research, we strongly feel that research focusing on the combination of healthy ecosystems that help people keep mentally healthy is also worthwhile pursuing, not only from a nature conservation perspective (Bugter et  al. 2018), but also from a long-term mental health, as well as an urban planning, perspective (Tzoulas et  al. 2007).
