In [34], Yong et al., presented the front endAC-DC converters. The Interleaved Boost PFC
Converter (Figure45)hasacoupleofboostconvertersconnected inparallelandworking in180◦out
ofphase [104–106]. The ripple currentsof the inductors cancel eachother. This configurationalso
providestwicetheeffectiveswitchingfrequencyandprovidesa lowerripple in inputcurrent, resulting
ina relatively small EMIfilter [103,107]. InBridgeless/DualBoostPFCConverter (Figure 46), the
gatingsignalsaremade identicalherebytyingthepower-trainswitches. TheMOSFETgatesarenot
madedecoupled. Rectifier inputbridge isnotneededhere. TheBridgeless InterleavedBoostPFC
Converter (Figure47) isproposedtooperateabovethe3.5kWlevel. Ithas twoMOSFETSanduses
twofastdiodes; thegatingsignalshaveaphasedifferenceof180◦.
