Conclusion Applying a smart systems and RES to the hotels can result in a large economic, energetic saving and a reduction in CO2 emissions without change in client comfort and increase the RES integration, especially the Solar PV systems. By changing from fossil fuels for renewable energy sources (like photovoltaic, wind power and solar thermal), we can arrive at zero or even negative building energy. Promoting and investing on renewable energies to combat CO2 emissions is the way to stop to discharge more than 50,000 tons per year with a properly electric mix.
