4. Conclusions
This work-in-progress study explores how mobile technologies can be incorporated into
blended language learning in a higher educational EFL Language course in China. In
order to design blended language learning and teaching models to achieve effective,
interactive collaborative optimal blends, this study will address the following questions:
(1) What are students’ perceptions of blended language learning with mobile technology
support?
(2) Can blended language learning course with mobile technology support enhance
speaking skills among English as Second Language (ESL) learners?
(3) What are the differences in students’ interactions between face-to-face and the mobile
online components of blended language learning?
Data will be collected through online surveys, classroom observations, and learning
analytics generated by the Fanya Learning and Teaching Platform. Findings of this study
will be reported in a peer-reviewed journal paper in technology-assisted language
learning or interactive learning environments.
