rer Kört er den Klick.
„Hie click track ... is also the reason for my orchestra budget usually being lower than
it originally figures. The click track has proven effectual in some of the biggest j obs with
large orchestras. It has been in use for ysars> of course> but I think I am perhaps one of tr^
fir5t conductors to adapt it for rny own use. The diffi;ulty that arises for a man not used
cornp osing this vray> obvi oudy, is to rnake his c ornpositi on sound natural and at the same
time, write again t^ these clicks. Sorne of my colleagu« are notable to write or to think this
way. I took rne some time before I learned to do it, but I finally licked it. I used it rnost
effecüvely for the fir^t time in GONE WITH THE WIND... I would &y 70 % of the
pictures for v/hich I compose .,. v«re v/ritten with the aid of a click track ,. ."^
