of fear and of hope: all of these are cultural practices which have found their (often unpublished,
often forgotten) expression in migrant testimonies. To find, collect, research, and analyse such
testimonies is an important task for all of us who are interested in the interpretation of culture
as a process – in movement, dynamic, fragmented, ever-changing, and depending on the free-
dom of the individual. Mobile culture Studies will continue to explore this field.
