Introduction Peoplewith lowincome, living insmall and isolated (evendeveloped) regionsmayhave few opportunities to go, to travel and meet other cultures, other people. Traditionally womenareamong thosemoreaffectedby this lackofopportunities. This reality is even more significant for peoplewith disabilities. Disability itself is deeply associatedwith mobilityconditioningand isolation.Thecombinationof the twoconditions risesachain reaction of exclusion that affects a significant number of women in a lot of European countries, withaparticular focusonelderlyanddisabledpeople. In that sense,a remark- able topic here is that one of inclusive and accessible tourism, with aspects related to leisure activities, particularly around traveling, that need tobe integrated into the future vision for tourism, especially in the context of Smart Cities, environments fully bene- fiting from the recent technological advances.
