To this end,withinanEUproject calledRiseWise 2,wework towardsenabling rel- evant information throughadata-driven tool topromoteaccessibleand inclusive tourism in a Smart City context. Our objective, with this work, is to help both policy authori- ties and the tourist industry stakeholders to performearly assessments of inclusive and accessible tourismongoing developments. Therefore, froma technical point of view, it is purposed tooffer anoverviewof a future platformequippedwithdata-drivenmecha- nisms to extract (fromheterogeneous data sources), store,manage andprocess data but alsoenhancingwaysof interpreting rules to identifycritical information (ordescriptors) relatedwith these specific data. The aim is to feed, with valid data and information, a set of ad hoc algorithms to detect and forecast relevant tourism-related information by havingaccess to structuredandunstructureddata fromheterogeneous sources. In this short paper,we report our ongoingwork.The rest of the paper is structured asfollows. In thefollowingsections,wepresentanoverviewof therelatedwork, thekey challenges, and our solution approach. Finally, it is presented the conclusions and the futurework. 2. Challenges This RiseWise project focuses on the collective of women with disabilities from dif- ferent perspectives, trying to identify needs and best practices in several EUcountries, representing diverse cultural and socio-economic environments, for the integration and improvement of their quality of life in several respects. By applying a novel analysis method, based on the experience acquired by the exchange of researchers, innovation staff and practitioners in the European area among the participating institutions, the projectwill identify a set ofmulti-sectoral research lines, to enhance integrationand in- volvement of this population in the society along several dimensions. So, in the context of this project, thisworks aims to develop the first application of a platform aiming to drivedecisionmaking for accessible and inclusive tourismbyusingopendata and rele- vant information [1] [2] asawayof improvingsocial and leisureexperiences forpeople withdisabilities. Inrecentyears, somesignificant technologicaladvances in the intersec- tionofaccessibleandinclusive tourismwithInformationandCommunicationTechnolo- gies have involved the challenge of transforming tourism-related data into an entirely knowledge-based function.Theseprojects areencouragingexamples [3] [4] [5]. Therefore, thedevelopment of a solution that combinesdata anda semantic graph- orientedknowledgebase to support adata-driven tool, somechallengesmustbe tackled down. Inparticular, issues related todatacollectionand integrationandalso its analyses andvisualization. 2.1. Data The tourismindustry is an information-basedbusinessand is rightnowthrivingondata. Since the advent of theWWW, significant parts of tourism information processes and transactions are handled electronically. Thus, travelers leave different digital traces be- hind on theWebwhen usingmobile technologies.
