10 | www.limina-graz.eu Hans-Joachim Sander highlights aspects of sexual abuse within the church
that have so far been largely ignored. He raises a defining question for the
future of the church: the question of shame.
Bernhard Grümme discusses “religious education between power structures
and educational ideals.” This is a thoughtful contribution to the controver-
sial discourse on the future of education within the contested contexts of
(inter-)cultural and (inter-)religious questions.
Three articles explore power structures of a digital future. Christian Ekhart,
Georg Vogeler and Christian Wessely each provide an informative analysis of
the current state of the digital revolution and discuss the potential as well
as the dangers of (future) digital control mechanisms.
In the final article of this edition, Walter Schaupp addresses the possibility of
gene-editing plant, animal, and human DNA through the use of so-called
gene scissors. He explores the highly relevant question of the fundamental
ethics of life and discusses pertinent arguments from a Christian perspec-
tive on meaning.
