latureblocksthat followedtheoctagonalplanof themonument(Fig.6).16Theuncertaintyabout
the total number of six or eight inscribed fragments raises a question regarding the layout of
theseblocks: the locationalonga roadand the choice topresent only six inscribedblocks that
can be restored positioned to the street side, would have allowed the passer-by to read the
entire textwithout stoppingashewalked.
