Diese Formel gilt für die Entwicklung eines Kleinteils, das irgendwo im Fahrzeug ver- baut wird, bis hin zum kompletten neuen Fahr- zeugmodell. Schon die Industrialisierung einer vermeintlich perferkten Schutzhülle eines Steckers im Kabelbaum dauert bis zu 150 Tage9. Das sind auf den ersten Blick 5 Monate. Überschaubar? Das ändert sich, wenn man bedenkt, dass das Jahr im Schnitt nur 250 Arbeitstage hat – also etwas mehr als netto 8 Monate – dann sind 5 Monate in Rela- tion zu 8 bereits ein dreiviertel Jahr. Ein dreivier- tel Jahr für einen einzigen Stecker! Vom Konzept bis zur Serienreife. Und von diesen Bauteilen gibt es tausende in einem Auto. Da ist es kaum ver- wunderlich, dass der Industrialisierungsprozess für ein komplettes, neu zu entwickelndes Fahr- zeug Investitionen von 1 Mrd.10 Euro verschlingt. Unterm Strich heißt das: Die Entwicklungskosten von der ersten Skizze bis zum Prototyp werden zum kritischen Erfolgsfaktor für jedes Unterneh- men der Automobilindustrie. That chan- ges when you consider that on average there are only 250 working days to a year – slightly more than 8 months net – since 5 months in relation to 8 is already nine months (3/4 of a year). Nine months for a single plug! From concept to pro- duction readiness. And a car has thousands of these components. So it is hardly surprising that the industrialization process for a complete, rede- veloped vehicle can swallow up an investment of 1 billion10 Euros.
