Technisch gibt es immer wieder Themen, die aber nicht gravierend sind und immer relativ schnell gelöst werden können. Woher kommen die Teile? Deutschland? Europa? 90 % der Lieferanten sind in Deutschland, ein paar Prozent kommen aus dem näheren europäischen Umfeld. Wenige Komponenten aus den USA. Bekommen Sie Feedback oder Kritik aus dem Anwenderbereich und werden die Hinweise verarbeitet? Wir sind sehr nah an der Praxis. Wir haben unsere Mitarbeiter im Feld. Wir bekommen auto- matisch Rückmeldungen, tägliche Reports oder auch direkte Mitteilungen von den Zustellern der Post, wenn irgendwas nicht funktioniert, darunter sind auch Verbesserungsvorschläge, die aus dem Anwen- dungsfeld kommen, die dann entsprechend bewertet werden und ggfs. in die Produktion oder auch in die Weiterentwicklung eingesteuert werden. Abschließend eine Frage an Sie persönlich: Was hat Sie motiviert, an der StreetScooter-Story mitzuschreiben? Ich wollte ganz einfach etwas bewegen. Das Thema Elektromobilität an sich ist schon spannend. Aber es ging mir auch darum, zu zeigen, dass wir mit einem radikal anderen Denkansatz hinsicht- lich Entwicklung und Realisation auch andere Wege beschreiten können. Das konnte ich nur in einer solchen Konstellation aus exzellenter Forschung und engagiertem, mittelständischem Unternehmertum, also diesem flexiblen Industrie-Konsortium, das hier mitgezogen hat. Meine Entscheidung war richtig. Und man sieht es ja auch: Die Firma wächst weiter. Die nächste Erfolgsgeschichte wird darin bestehen, zu zeigen, wie wir die Herausforderungen des Wachs- tums meistern werden. Vom Start-up zum Grow-up. Aber Sie bleiben am Standort Aachen? Wir haben hier vor ein paar Wochen gerade in eine neue Produktionshalle investiert. 90 % of the suppliers are in Germany and a few percent come from the immediate European regions. Few components are from the USA. Do you receive feedback or criticism from the user segment and are these worked on? We are very close to the market. We have our employees in the field. We automatically receive feedback, daily reports or direct messages from the postal service providers, if something does not work. This also includes suggestions for improvement that come from the field of applica- tion, which are then evaluated accordingly and, if necessary, are put into production or even in enhancement. Finally, a question to you personally: What moti- vated you to become involved in writing the StreetScooter story? I just wanted to make a difference. The topic of electric mobility itself is already exciting. But I also wanted to show that, with a radically diffe- rent approach to thinking in terms of development and realization, we could also follow other paths. I would have only been able to do this as a part of such a constellation of excellent research and com- mitted, medium-sized enterprises, meaning this flexible industry consortium that has been invol- ved in this. My decision was the right one. And you also see it: the company continues to grow. The next success story will be to show how we will master the challenges of growth. From start-up to grow-up. But you will remain at the Aachen location? We have just invested in a new production hall here a few weeks ago.
