338 Acknowledgments Pitthard did the VOC-measurements in the storage area. Michael Eder from the Photog- raphy Department of Kunsthistorisches Museum made and composed the IRR images with great care. Werner Artner and Erik Lübke from the X-ray Centre of the Vienna University of Technology conducted the XRD measurements, which were evaluated by Erik Lübke as well. Abigail Quandt and Valerio Capra provided us with their respective models for mount- ing. Professor Otto Kresten from the Academy of Science supported us with his paleo- graphic expertise and his kind encouragement. Marilena Maniaci and Pasquale Orsini ad- vised us on the most recent research on script and text. Barbara Zimmermann’s book on the Vienna Genesis served us as important reference, which we consulted continuously. We thank her for her feedback on our theory of paint- ers. Katrin Kogmann-Appel helped us to better understand the cultural influences on the iconography of the miniatures. Monika Egerbacher and Gerhard Forstenpointner from the Veterinarian University of Vienna looked at the Vienna Genesis from the animal science aspect of parchment and the depiction of animals. Charlotte Denoël and Christian Förstel generously granted access to the Codex Sin- opensis at the French National Library. We thank Maria Christina Misiti, Marina Bic- chieri, Maria Luisa Riccardi, Luccilla Nuccetelli, Flavia Pinzari and Francesca Pasalicchio from ICRCPAL in Rome for access to Codex Purpureus Rossanensis and the open ex- change of results and expertise. Stefanie Winkelbauer smoothed our rough English. Open-Access-Publikation im Sinne der CC-Lizenz BY 4.0
