Gomperz, Theodor#
b. Brno, Czech Republic (then Bruenn), March 29, 1832, d. Baden (Lower Austria), Aug. 29, 1912, classical philologist, history of philosophy scholar; father of Heinrich Gomperz. Professor at the University of Vienna; special focus on the conception of the world and its advocates in antiquity from the beginnings of Greek philosophy to Aristotle.
