Bick, Josef#
b. Wildeck am Neckar (Germany), May 22, 1880, d. Vienna, April 5, 1952, librarian. From 1926 Director General of the Austrian National Library, university professor in Vienna, 1934 director of the Albertina. Turned the former Court Library into a public scientific library and made international inter-library loans possible, had modern catalogues compiled and set up the newspaper reading room; as inspector general reorganized Austria's library system.
