K. u. k.-Filme#
K. u. k. Films, specifically Austrian film genre, mostly set in aristocratic circles of the Austro-Hungarian monarchy. The nearly inexhaustible dramaturgical possibilities range from social conflict to crime stories ("Oberst Redl - der Totengraeber der Monarchie", 1925, "Spionage", 1955) and to operettas. This genre comprises numerous operetta films (e.g. "Wiener Blut", 1942) and a specific variant of the Heimatfilm.
