Szokoll, Carl#
b. Vienna, Oct. 15, 1915, career officer and film producer. Head of the military section of the Austrian Resistance Movement against National Socialism. As captain of the "Wehrkreiskommando XVII" military district (Vienna), he was the direct contact to Colonel C. Schenk von Stauffenberg (who carried out an unsuccessful attempt to assassinate A. Hitler on July 20, 1944), but was not discovered; as major took up contact with the Soviet troops via F. Kaes in April 1945. Film producer after the war.
