It is also important to designmore generalmethodologies to increase their appli- cability tosimilarprojects.Forexample,asopposedtodevelopingmethodologyfor a specific ‘air conditionerswith inverters to public sector building’ (VN_AM002), themethodologycouldbedeveloped forair conditionerswith inverters toanykind of building. 7.4.3 ProcessingTime Strengthenedmethodand time-efficient approvalprocesswill improve theefficacy of JCMMRV. So far approval process are being implemented in an efficient manner. Approving proposed methodologies take from 18 to 384 days with an averageofonly107days from the timeofmethodologyproposed.Similar trend is observed in project registration process, which generally takes less than amonth with anaverageof10days.15These effectiveprocessesbenefit fromclose cooper- ation between Japanese and partner countries government, supporting agencies, projectparticipants,andtheJCMbudgetallocatedfor implementationsupport.This could be expected to continue in the long run, as long as institutional support and commitment from the involved countries at least remain. As the number of JCMprojects continue to increase, however, itmay become more challenging to maintain such speed.
