would drastically increase efficiency. If the IoT is used for inventorymanagement,
manynewopportunitieswill arise.Forexample, throughmarketingandadvertising,
the store managers could guide the sale of certain products. This could be useful
when certain stock is piling up in thewarehouses orwhen stock is approaching its
expiration date. In addition, since it can closely monitor the sales per product, it
could improve just-in-time (JIT) management. The IoT software provided by
Scandit collects a large amount of data, which, in turn, can forecast the sales of
products, making it undoubtedly supportive in managing the demand for the
product. Fourth, the IoT would allow a store to easily follow a certain strategy.
Today, an increasingnumberof stores are prioritising their strategyofbeingcheap,
fair-tradeor biological. With the IoT software fromScandit, stores are able tofilter
products from their suppliers basedon those characteristics, allowing them to select
the desired product instead of searching themmanually.
The IoThas an enormous impact on companies and their creative processes, not
only in terms of retail and supply chain but also in its ability to be used for other
purposes. Concerning Scandit, the opportunities spurned from its IoT barcode
softwareare endless.Scandit hasproven that the IoTcanbeused toboost creativity
processes, which ultimately help grow and optimise company processes and rela-
tionshipswith customers.

brainstorming, imaginative play, innovation and visual learning exhibit features of

creative ideas resulting from digitalisation opportunities. While there are risks
