and supply a list ofmeals that contain those products, therebyfighting foodwaste andprovidinganenriching shoppingexperience.Third, for stores, the IoTsoftware would drastically increase efficiency. If the IoT is used for inventorymanagement, manynewopportunitieswill arise.Forexample, throughmarketingandadvertising, the store managers could guide the sale of certain products. This could be useful when certain stock is piling up in thewarehouses orwhen stock is approaching its expiration date. In addition, since it can closely monitor the sales per product, it could improve just-in-time (JIT) management. The IoT software provided by Scandit collects a large amount of data, which, in turn, can forecast the sales of products, making it undoubtedly supportive in managing the demand for the product. Fourth, the IoT would allow a store to easily follow a certain strategy. Today, an increasingnumberof stores are prioritising their strategyofbeingcheap, fair-tradeor biological.With the IoT software fromScandit, stores are able tofilter products from their suppliers basedon those characteristics, allowing them to select the desired product instead of searching themmanually. The IoThas an enormous impact on companies and their creative processes, not only in terms of retail and supply chain but also in its ability to be used for other purposes. Concerning Scandit, the opportunities spurned from its IoT barcode softwareare endless.Scandit hasproven that the IoTcanbeused toboost creativity processes, which ultimately help grow and optimise company processes and rela- tionshipswith customers. 4 Conclusion and Implications This chapter explores the use of digital technologies by entrepreneurs to support their own as well as that of their teams and other members of their company. Creativity is the ability of an individual or small group of individuals to generate novel, useful ideas and take advantage of new opportunities offered by digital technologies.While there is no doubt about the importance and need for creativity in entrepreneurs and their organisations, the role of digital technologies such as artificial intelligence, virtual reality and the Internet of things in this process is just starting to take shape. The digital technologies being used to date in areas, such as brainstorming, imaginative play, innovation and visual learning exhibit features of provisionality, interactivity, capacity, range, speed and automatic functions. Entrepreneurs, nomatter the size and industry of their company,must be open to creative ideas resulting from digitalisation opportunities. While there are risks involved, digital technologies offer new arenas and opportunities for creativity alongwith newdilemmas concerning the value and purpose of creativity and how the results should be distributed. Aswith the beginning of any new era and in the realm of creativity, the era of digital technologies usedby entrepreneurs offersmanynew research activities.
