2.3. DAM CONCRETE
The dam has a total concrete volume of, approximately, 670,000 m3. The
32 blocks were cast in 2.0 m height layers. The placement of concrete began in
2011 and ended in 2013.
The cementitious materials were Portland cement CEM I 42.5R and a class
F fly ash. The fine and the coarse aggregates were granitic, obtained by crushing
the rock from a quarry located on the right bank of the river, upstream. The
concrete mixtures presented in Table 1 correspond to the concretes most used in
the dam.

For the dominant dam’s concrete, the following BaP creep law was
adjusted, considering the results of a set of “in situ” and laboratory tests [3],
