78 Eventually, the power system will change towards a fully renewable power system. In the end it is able to produce all the electricity we need for our appliances, lighting, industry, heat pumps, etc. But also it will be able to pro- duce the electricity for our transport systems. Electricity to directly charge batteries in our electric cars, but also electricity converted into hydrogen to fuel the tank of our fuel cell cars. Next to electricity for hydrogen production we can still use biogas from the gas grid to produce hydro- gen. In such a system we will use the electricity produced by renewable sources directly. And only when there is a shortage of electricity we will use the fuel cell cars to produce this electricity. The fuel cell car will balance the electricity system. It is able to store excess electricity by converting it to hydrogen. And it can produce electricity when there is a shortage of supply by the renewable electricity pro- duction sources.
