assistance. RMS for the gluteus maximus was reduced by 11.27 % and RMS for
quadriceps was reduced by 37.4 %. There was more reduction for the knee extension
muscle (quadriceps). As the surface EMG was obtained from all 4 subjects for the first
30 seconds, RMS for that 30 seconds was extracted. In the comparison of RMS for
both assistance and without assistance for all 4 subjects, a significant reduction was
observed for both the gluteus maximus (8.5 %) and quadriceps (36.5 %). Especially it
was significant for knee extension muscle (quadriceps). [Table 2,3]

muscle is significant.

quadriceps muscle.
For all cases of verification, the maximum ratio from the average duration
between lifting motion was observed in the middle phase and onwards. This was
observed 14 times in total and excluding 1 case with subject 3 without assistance, all of
them occurred after the middle phase. 9 times were recorded in the late stage. [Fig 3]
