assistance. RMS for the gluteus maximus was reduced by 11.27 % and RMS for quadriceps was reduced by 37.4 %. There was more reduction for the knee extension muscle (quadriceps). As the surface EMG was obtained from all 4 subjects for the first 30 seconds, RMS for that 30 seconds was extracted. In the comparison of RMS for both assistance and without assistance for all 4 subjects, a significant reduction was observed for both the gluteus maximus (8.5 %) and quadriceps (36.5 %). A significant reduction was observed in both hip extension muscle RMS 11.27 % and knee extension muscle RMS 37.4 %. Especially, reduction on the knee extension muscle is significant. Table 3.
