At the political level, theNationalDisasterManagementCouncil (NDMC), led
by the PrimeMinister, formulates national policies. The Inter-MinisterialDisaster
Management Coordination Committee (IMDMCC), led by theMinister of Disas-
terManagement andRelief, conducts implements, coordinates and supervises the
workof those implementing relevant policies.At the regulatory level, theMinistry
ofDisasterManagement andRelief (MoDMR) is the primary governingbody that
