National level At the national level, the issue of canonicity is one of the biggest sources of conflict. In this context,NicholasDenysenkoproposes themodelof“canonical plurality”37 as a realistic process for achievingpeace, at least inorder to avoid violence.TheproblemofChurchpropertyshouldbeconsidered,too.Practically, theOrthodoxChurchesfromUkraineshouldundertaketheexistentmodelofthe OrthodoxChurchinAmerica(OCA)38–whereasimilarsituationoccurredwhen theMPbestoweditwithautocephaly,buttheEPdidnotacknowledgeit.Despite this administrativedivision, theChurcheshavepreservedEucharistic commu- nion, so that the foundation of inter-Orthodox cooperationwas not affected. In theUkrainian context, a similar modelofcooperationcanbeelaboratedbyaPan-OrthodoxCouncilofaSynaxis ofOrthodoxPrimates– inessencea“panel”whereallOrthodoxChurchescan bring theirowncontributions to the topic– tocorrespondto the local realities. Firstly, theaimofsuchaplatformshouldbe therestaurationof theEucharistic communionbetweentheMPandtheEP, inasmuchas theEucharist is seenhere asa“sourceofhealing,not itsoutcome”39. Thereby, the restaurationofEuchar- istic communionwould not require (or enforce) primarily an administrative union, but it could encourage it step by step.
