In educational innovation, contributions are made in the integration of new resources and strategies (biometrics, gamification, challenges, virtual and remote laboratories andopeneducational resources) inMOOCs(Table10.1). Inopeneducation, the contributions aregiven through trainingwith12MOOCs that are implemented through theopenplatformsMexicoXandEdX.TheMOOCs havehadmorethan200,000participants,frommorethan50countries,withaterminal efficiencyof14%(exceeding theaverageofotherMOOCs). As a result, and contribution to open education, this project generates new approach toopen innovation through thedevelopment of entrepreneurial talent and contributionstotheknowledgeofopeneducational innovation.Italsogeneratesnew opportunitiesforproductsandservices,suchaseducational innovationsforenviron- mentswithopen technologies, services and strategies for open innovation, training models with technologies, new services for open innovation, new instruments for measuringopeninnovations,trainingservices:workshops,diplomas,certificatesand consultancies.With theproject is contributed toopen innovation through the trans- ferand linkagewithGovernment,Companies, Institutions,NGOsandCivilSociety (Ramírez-Montoya,2019a). 10.3.2 OpenScienceCategory Anopenscienceinitiativeiswhenapracticeinwhichdifferentpeoplecancollaborate andcontribute,whereresearchdata, labnotesandotherresearchprocessesarefreely andopenlyavailable.Thismay includepubliccontributions throughcitizenscience (OpenEducationConsortium,2019). ThecaseBi-NationalLaboratoryonSmartSustainableEnergyManagementand TechnologyTraining emanates from two projects funded by theNational Council of Science and Technology (CONACYT) ofMexico: “Bi-National Laboratory on SmartSustainableEnergyManagementandTechnologyTraining”and“Increase in the visibility of RITEC by improving the user experience and its interoperability with theNationalRepository”. Theproject highlights the excellent results of visibility andopenness of science generatedasacontributionof thetwoprojectsfinancedwithpublicfundsgrantedby CONACYT.Theseprojectswereaimedatsupportingthenationalopenaccessregu- lations indicatedin theGeneralEducationLawandtheOrganicLawofCONACYT, Article65: Openaccessmeansaccess throughadigital platformandwithout subscription, registration or payment requirements, to research, educational, academic, scientific, technological and innovationmaterials,financedwithpublic resourcesor that haveusedpublic infrastructure in its realization,without prejudice to the provisions on patents, protection of intellectual or industrialproperty,national securityandcopyright, amongothers,aswellas information that, by reasonof itsnatureordecisionof theauthor, is confidential or reserved.
