From 1997 to 2017 he has been Research Assistant at the UniversitĂ degli Studi del
Piemonte Orientale (UPO) in Alessandria (Italy); in 2017 he was appointed Associate Pro-
fessor at the same University. In UPO he teaches courses in the field of analytical chem-

Angelo Agostino
Dr. Angelo Agostino obtained his PhD in Chemical Sciences at UniversitĂ degli Studi
di Torino, Italy, where he works as assistant professor at the Department of Chemistry.
His research interests concern application of X-ray spectroscopic techniques to the charac-
terisation of materials of artistic-archaeological interest, with several experiences at inter-
national and national facilities (ESRF, ISIS) and research institutes (Getty Research In-
stitute). His focus is on the application of non-invasive techniques and, in particular, he
is developing a quantitative approach based on X-ray fluorescence for the study of light
matrices (glass and enamel).
