BuiS: Methodology forSmartBuilding Modeling AchrafLYAZIDIa,1 andSalmaMOULINEa aLRIT-CNRSTURACn◦29,FacultyofSciences,Rabat ITCenter,MohammedV University,Rabat,Morocco Abstract. As amajor entity of smart cities, smart buildings are intelligent envi- ronments equippedwith computing technologies to improve inhabitants daily life. Such systems are complex and have to take account several requirements of the targetedenvironmentandusersneedsfordesignandimplementation.Thesemantic aspect is important to take into account tomodel such systems. However, research aboutsmartbuildingsdevelopmentremainslimited. An intelligent building is a smart entity within a smart city. A buildingmight be smart since it canbe a combinationof several smart concepts (e.g., smart homes, smart security, smart energysaving, smart parking). It is apiece in the smart citypuzzle along with other smart environments (e.g.,Hospitals, Transport,Community facilities)which in turn can be composed of smart Internet of Things (IoT) applications and systems. IoT is thenetworkgatheringphysicaldevices (e.g., homeappliances, electronics items), sensors, actuators andcomputer softwareproviding connectivity between these latter in order toexchangedata for further integration intocomputer systems. IoTgenerallycon- cern standard devices (e.g., smartphones, computers, tablets) and also extend its use of 1CorrespondingAuthor:LRIT-CNRSTURACn◦29,FacultyofSciences,Rabat ITCenter,MohammedV University,Rabat,Morocco;E-mail: lyazidi.achraf@gmail.com.
