Österreichisches Literaturarchiv#
Oesterreichisches Literaturarchiv (Austrian Literature Archives), founded in 1989 as a collection of the Austrian (see) National Library, became operative in 1996 when Wendelin (see) Schmidt-Dengler was appointed its head. Its main purpose is to acquire, study, preserve and make publicly accessible the literary estates of Austrian writers (especially those of the 20th century); it also organises exhibitions, engages in research, issues its own publications and coordinates the activities of all Austrian (see) literature archives.
