Arpaden#
Arpades, Hungarian royal dynasty, founded by Prince Arpad (approx. 886-907), who led the 7 Hungarian tribes. His descendants reigned over the Hungarian kingdom until 1301. Especially at the time of the Babenbergs and during the reign of the Habsburg Albrecht I, the Arpades fought many wars against the Austrians (Feud of Guessing). Andreas III, the last Arpade, was married to Agnes, a daughter of Albrecht I.
