Böheim, Wendelin#
b. Wiener Neustadt (Lower Austria), Sept. 17, 1832, d. Vienna, Nov. 1, 1900, ordnance engineer, officer, journalist, museum official. 1859-1865 taught at the Theresianische Militaerakademie ( Military Academy.), 1878 curator of the imperial collection of arms; in 1880 transferred the Ambras collection to Vienna and helped set up the Kunsthistorisches Museum and the Museum of Military History; founder of the historical and methodical study of arms in Austria.
