Blizzard GmbH#

Blizzard GmbH, ski production company, seat at Mittersill (province of Salzburg). Founded in 1946 by A. Arnsteiner; the Schenner-Arnsteiner family held the majority of shares until 1995; since 1998 it has been owned by the Raiffeisenverband Salzburg (Salzburg Raiffeisen Federation). Blizzard is one of the five largest alpine ski brands worldwide and is extremely successful in international skiing competitions. Annual turnover in 1998 amounted to approx. ATS 700 million; the company employs around 400 people.
