Boykow, Johann Maria#
b. St. Wolfgang (Upper Austria), Feb. 1, 1878, d. Berlin (Germany), July 22, 1935, engineer and inventor; 1914 invented an automatic bomb tripper with bombsight equipment for aeroplanes, 1919 developed the "Boykow photogrammeter", the solar compass (for R. Amundsen), and the "autopilot" (for the automatic steering of planes).
