Brücke, Franz Theodor von#

b. Leipzig (Germany), Jan. 15, 1908, d. Vienna, March 24, 1970. Pharmacologist, son of Ernst Theodor von Bruecke; from 1946 head of the Vienna University Institute of Pharmacology (full professor in 1948). Published more than 100 works, especially on the pharmacology of transmitter substances of the vegetative nervous system and on the analysis of the effects of muscle relaxants.
